Surrey school district is getting new classrooms, but at a huge cost!
Frank Mihal video blogs about the 20 new portable classrooms that the Surrey school district has just purchased at a cost of just under 1.4 million. The school system is in serious need of more classrooms. This purchase puts them currently at a 16 million dollar deficit. They have not received any extra capital funding from the provincial government since 2005/2006, and are using what is left on a new school project in White Rock.
